Musical Ensemble Summer 25: Time-Travelling Tunes & Tales! ⏳🎶🚀
Welcome to the Musical Ensemble Summer 25 course, where we’re stepping into the swirling vortex of time to create a musical adventure that leaps across history!
About Us:
The Musical Ensemble is a globally connected group of passionate performers who have been crafting musical magic online since the onset of the pandemic. With members from all over the world, our ensemble thrives on a shared love for musical improvisation and the drive to explore diverse creative genres.
What to Expect:
A one-of-a-kind opportunity to jump through time—from the distant past to the far-off future—through the power of musical storytelling! This course will have us belting out prehistoric ballads, swinging through the roaring ‘20s, rocking out in the ‘80s, and maybe even rapping our way into a cyberpunk future. We’ll explore different musical styles throughout history while also playing with time jumps in our narratives—where cause and effect, past and future, and alternate timelines collide!
What You’ll Learn:
🎶 Compose Time-Twisting Tunes: Create songs inspired by different musical eras, from medieval madrigals to disco anthems to futuristic synthwave bops!
🎭 Master the Art of Time Travel Storytelling: Experiment with flashbacks, flash-forwards, and parallel timelines to craft thrilling musical narratives that bend reality.
🎤 Bring History (and the Future!) to Life: Develop dynamic characters who live in different time periods—cavemen crooners, Victorian opera divas, rebellious rockstars, and space-age pop icons.
⏳ Collaborative Creativity Across Time: Work with fellow performers to weave together a show that defies the laws of time, culminating in a spectacular final performance where past, present, and future collide in song!

12 Mondays from the 28th of April with a 1-week break after 6 weeks and a show in the final week, 16:00-18:00 UK time
Music Ensemble is an online 12-week course – Payment Options:
- You are signing up for a 12-week course. If needed, you can spread the payments by using PayPal and selecting Pay Later or Pay-in-3 at checkout.

This course is for experienced improvisers, level 6+ on the AndAlso training pathway, or 3+ years of regular improv practice with an alternative provider. Email heather@andalsoimprov.com if you’re unsure if this course is right for you.
